Who's Behind Lisa McKean Jewellery & Workshops (The Silver Bubble)
Hi, thank you for taking the time to read all about Lisa McKean Jewellery & Workshops. This is my story of how I got where I am today...
My name is Lisa Jane, I grew up in Meopham but now I live in the gorgeous town of Whitstable, Kent. I have two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Sophie, who are my inspiration and constant advisors .... they also have the privilege of testing out all my new designs!
The original "The Silver Bubble" started when I was 22 years old (longer than I wish to remember!). I first started silversmithing evening classes to make a ring for my late Mum. She was my initial inspiration and the very person who would always tell me to do exactly what I wanted to do (I have yet to experiment with the blue hair I always wanted!).
From there my love for creating bespoke designs in silver and gold began and grew. After many years of tuition and selling at craft fairs it has finally lead me to re-brand from The Silver Bubble to Lisa McKean Jewellery & Workshops, website and online shop.
I have been fortunate enough to design and create bespoke pieces of jewellery for customers both across the UK and worldwide, I would love to create something you will treasure, forever.
My work is inspired from the beautiful area of Whitstable that I live and work in; the sea, the wind, the moody sea skies. I like to use recycled silver and gold to create beautiful items that are totally unique and will be treasured for years to come.
I love helping my customers find that unique piece of jewellery, handmade to their own requirements, either for themselves or as a gift for someone special.
